Are you an aspiring leader withing a school setting? Do you have a member of staff that you would thrive understanding more about leadership principles and methods? The courses below are aimed at indviduals who have the skills and aspiration to succeed as a leader in the educational environment:

National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership - (NPQSL)

Overview

This programme has been developed collaboratively between school leaders, UCLteaching staff and researchers and is built upon high-quality leadership practice, evidence and research. It is a varied programme of study that enables participants to self-reflect and apply their learning in their own context. The curriculum framework is built around six content areas and seven leadership behaviours, all of which are common to each level of NPQ, enabling leaders to develop the depth and breadth of knowledge.

Who is it for?

Those who are, or are aspiring to become, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities e.g. an experienced middle leader, a deputy head teacher, an assistant head teacher, or other senior staff.

National Professional Qualifications in Middle Leadership (NPQML)

Overview

Inclusive Leadership

Overview

The ‘Inclusive Leadership programme’ is a leadership development programme for black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) teachers, designed to equip participants with the confidence, skills, knowledge and support needed to make a successful application for promotion. Building upon the success of the 2018-19 pilot, this programme aims to sustainably improve BAME representation within school leadership teams. Participants will benefit from regional networking events, 6 face to face inspirational workshops, 2 personal coaching sessions and an opportunity to shadow a senior leader in another school

Who is it for?

• Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) teachers who currently have a leadership responsibility and the support of their head teacher to undertake the programmeProgramme

Outcomes:

  • enhanced leadership skills and competencies
  • enhanced understanding of leadership strengths and limitations
  • increased confidence and readiness to apply for a senior leadership role
  • development of a meaningful and impactful professional network

Overview

The Aspirant Middle Leader Programme is a set of interactive sessions carefully tailored to coach individuals moving into middle leadership roles. Senior leaders work with individuals to design mini-projects which will develop and showcase their skillset as a middle leader.Who is it for?All aspirant middle leaders
